1. Who we are
DAC7 Check (dac7check.eu) is an informational tool that helps individual sellers on EU marketplaces assess whether they fall within the DAC7 reporting thresholds. The service is operated by an individual developer reachable at bagfantik@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
Calculator inputs (not stored)
Platform, country, number of transactions, total income, and activity type are entered by you and processed exclusively in your browser. This data is never sent to our servers unless you proceed to purchase a report.
Email address (only on purchase)
When you buy the full PDF report, we collect your email address to deliver the report. We use Resend (resend.com) as our email delivery service. Your email is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing without your consent.
Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your card details. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment data — see stripe.com/privacy.
Server logs
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) are retained for up to 30 days for security and error diagnosis, then deleted automatically.
3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
- Contractual necessity — processing your email to deliver the purchased report (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Legitimate interest — server logs for security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- No consent required — calculator inputs never leave your browser and are not processed by us.
4. Cookies
We use no tracking or advertising cookies. A single session cookie may be set by Stripe during the payment checkout flow. No analytics cookies, no third-party advertising pixels.
5. Data retention
- Email address — retained for 12 months after your last report purchase, then deleted.
- Server logs — deleted after 30 days.
- Calculator inputs — never stored (browser only).
6. Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
